In honor of Appreciate A Dragon Day, I’ve compiled a list of my favorite dragons:
Saphira, from Christopher Paolini’s Eragon: I love how she kind of springs forth all wise and all knowing, and then has these random stubborn teenager moments.
Wimperling, from Mary Brown’s An Unexpected Dragon: Flying pig turned dragon turned…well, I don’t want to spoil everything for you!
Draco, from the movie Dragonheart: Yes, even a giant, fire-breathing lizard can be sexy with Sean Connery’s voice!
Tokesh and Rakoz, from (ahem) Jacquelyn Sylvan’s Surviving Serendipity: Dragons as I’ve always wanted to see them. Read the book, and tell me if you agree!

Beware the sound of crying children, watch out for the barmaids, and whatever you do, don't let the Pegasus spit on you.

Ramoth rules! So glad you've read the McAffreys, Dani. Although I must say, the fire lizards steal my heart every time.
Oh, it's been too long since I've been flying with Pern Riders. But it was Ruth who got me hooked!
I forgot yesterday... Mnementh is just as amazing, and yes Ruth is pretty cool, but the dry humor of Ramoth and her mate have me in stitches every time.
